Dr. Stephen Poon is a detailed-oriented and caring cosmetic dentist and implant specialist. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from New York University with cum laude honors, and then graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. During his time at Stony Brook, Dr. Poon served as class president for all four years of dental school and was a leader in many community service programs.

After graduation, he completed his General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital, serving as Chief Dental Resident. Dr. Poon subsequently completed a two-year fellowship in Advanced Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry at North Shore where he has lectured to nationally renowned general dentists and specialists of Long Island.

Dr. Poon has been working in private practice in Manhattan and Queens, and has extensive experience with surgical implant placement and restoration, bone augmentation procedures, sinus augmentation, full-mouth rehabilitation with crown and bridge prosthetics, root canal, complex extractions, cosmetic bonding, and treatment of gum and bone disease.

Actively involved in the field of dentistry, Dr. Poon is a member of several professional organizations, including theAmerican Dental Association (ADA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Dr. Poon has also achieved Fellowship credentials from the prestigious International Congress of Implantologists (ICOI).

Dr. Poon enjoys playing basketball with his friends, cooking and traveling with his parents, and spending time with his wonderful wife, Amina, and his beautiful daughters, Aria & Isla.
